Well hello again everybody. It's been a couple of weeks since I last blogged because I've been busy working away (I sing in a one woman show that tours Care Homes across the length and breadth of the UK) and have finally returned home for a couple of weeks, so can get some crafting done!! Hooray!
So for this 1st birthday card I have used the Redonkadoodles Baby Serina digi stamp. The image can be found here

I absolutely love this image!! It is so so so cute, and lovely to colour, and I was lucky enough to get her at 50% off!!! BARGAIN!
I have used Promarkers to colour in the image Ii am still trying to find good colour combinations and generally get better at colouring. Still a way to go)
This card was put together very quickly as it was a last minute request, so I didn't have time to use as many different papers, embellishments and techniques as I normally like to use, but I'm still pleased with the overall result.
So very simply, I have used a 6x6 patterned paper to cover my card blank, that coordinated with the colours I used in my image. (I cant remember what brand the paper is, but I think it was a freebie with a magazine I subscribe to).
The image is backed on Papermania premium textured cardstock in a lovely purple to match the Promarker colours, and then set against a contrasting DCWV pink cardstock to make the image pop. I free handed the number 1, and added a couple of Papermania stick on glittery star gems to tie in with the colours.
I used some alphabet rub ons to write the "TODAY" and backed that onto more Papermania premium textured cardstock, and finally finished with a Trimits flower craft button in purple. Quick and Easy.
